The Arrow 11, March 2025: With Kristen Hildebrant

Welcome to “The Arrow 11” – our monthly employee engagement series where we highlight our best and brightest through 11 thought-provoking questions.

This month, we’re celebrating Women’s History Month and are proud to feature Arrow’s Women in Security. Kristen Hildebrant was recently promoted to Chief Human Resource Officer as a result of her commitment to shaping Arrow’s people strategy and fostering a strong company culture. Today, she shares her story in the second edition of Arrow 11 this month.

1). How did you come to work in security?

The organization was searching for an experienced HR leader to partner with the executive to create a structured Human Resources department.  During my interview with various members of the C-level team, I was convinced that this was my next career venture as I have experience building HR functions from the ground up. The interview felt more like a collaborative meeting, speaking volumes to me about the commitment to place HR at the forefront.

2). What are you most passionate about outside of work?

Living life to the fullest.  Family, friends and living my truth.

3). How would you describe the perfect day off?

The beach, great conversation, great food, and enjoying the flow of life.

4). What is your favorite quote, motto, or mantra?

“Your work is to discover the world and then with all your heart, give yourself to it”.

5). What is your favorite food?

Pizza and chocolate.

6). What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

“Focus on yourself” – my father.  He was a big giver to so many, but he always felt it was important to take care of one’s self, live one’s life while doing good for others and ensuring one does not place more emphasis on what other people think or do.

7). What person do you believe has had the greatest influence on your life, and why?

My parents have contributed equally to my life; each offering different values, views and lessons to my life.

8). Is there a personal/professional challenge you’ve overcome, and what did you learn from it?

As I’ve continued to devote energy to advancing my education and my career, I have often been the only female in the room.  This taught me not to look at gender (or any “defining” characteristic) as a defining factor; rather, what counts is one’s dedication, experience, and contributions.

9). What does success mean to you, both personally and professionally?

To me, “success” or “wealth” is defined by happiness.

10). What was your favorite travel/vacation destination, or what place is top of your list to travel next?

Italy and Greece are at the top of the list!

11). If you had one superpower, what would it be?

I believe I have been blessed with a superpower – intuition!
