The Arrow 11, March 2025: With Vibha Mistry
Welcome to “The Arrow 11” – our monthly feature where we highlight our best and brightest through 11 thought-provoking questions.
This month, we talk about growth and empowerment with Vibha Mistry, Learning and Organizational Development Manager.

1). How did you come to work in security?
After years as a management consultant specializing in Organizational Learning, I sought a career change that would offer new opportunities for growth and development. I came across an exciting opportunity on LinkedIn and applied directly for my current role. Shortly after, I had the privilege of interviewing with Kristen Hildebrant and Brendon McDonald, our CFO. Throughout the interview process, I immediately recognized a strong alignment between my background and the company’s vision. With my experience in start-ups, mid-sized firms, and global corporations, I knew I could bring valuable expertise to support and shape the organization’s Learning and Organizational Development initiatives. This role has allowed me to leverage my skills in a meaningful way while continuing to grow professionally.
2). What are you most passionate about outside of work?
In addition to my role as an L&OD Manager at Arrow Security, I am also a professional makeup artist. I love working on diverse creative projects, including fashion photoshoots, movie trailers, podcasts, and runway shows. My passion lies in helping women and young girls feel confident and beautiful for any occasion, at any age.
3). What is your favorite activity or hobby?
My favorite hobbies include spending quality time with my children, whether it’s Bollywood dancing with my daughter Avani or cheering on my son Avery at his football games. I also love exploring hiking trails, relaxing on beach vacations, and attending food and music festivals.
4). How would you describe the perfect day off?
My perfect day off would begin with a leisurely brunch with family and friends, followed by a fun trip to the mall for some shopping and quality time. I’d then enjoy watching the latest movie in the theater with my kids, wrapping up the day with a delicious dinner out.
5). What is your favorite quote, motto, or mantra?
“Eventually all pieces fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment, and know that everything happens for a reason.”
6). What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
The best advice I ever received is: “Embrace change and never stop learning.” Growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone, take on new challenges, and remain open to learning, both personally and professionally. This mindset has guided me through career transitions, creative pursuits, and life’s unexpected twists.
7). What does success mean to you, both personally and professionally?
To me, success is about growth, impact, and fulfillment, both personally and professionally. Personally, success is about balance and happiness, cherishing moments with my family, pursuing my passions, and maintaining a sense of purpose. Ultimately, it’s about feeling fulfilled in what I do and the connections I build along the way. Professionally, success means continuously learning, making a meaningful impact, and helping others grow. It’s about using my skills to drive positive change, whether in Learning & Organizational Development or my creative pursuits.
8). What motivates you to come to work here at Arrow Security?
I’m motivated to work at Arrow Security by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Learning & Organizational Development. I’m passionate about empowering employees, enhancing training programs, and fostering growth. Being part of a dynamic HR team and aligning with the company’s values of innovation and employee success makes my work both rewarding and fulfilling.
9). What is your favorite food, and why?
My favorite food is Thai cuisine because I love the rich aromas and bold spices that create layers of complex, vibrant flavors. The unique combination of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy elements always makes each dish an exciting experience.
10). What was your favorite travel/vacation destination, or what place is top of your list to travel next?
I’m a fan of tropical beach vacations, and some of my favorite destinations so far have been Aruba, St. Lucia, Fiji, and Goa. Next on my travel list are Thailand, Bali, Croatia, and Zanzibar. These are places that I am eager to explore for their beauty and unique experiences.
11). What person do you believe has had the greatest influence on your life, and why?
My father has had the greatest influence on my life. He’s always been my biggest cheerleader, offering unwavering support through my toughest moments. He taught me early on that failures are blessings in disguise – they help us grow and guide us toward paths that are better suited for us.
